MySQL connection formats and adapter behavior.

Use a mysql URL with a username, password, one host, and database name:

mysql://app_reader:password@db.example.test:3306/warehouse?sslmode=verify-full

Supported sslmode values are disable, prefer, require, and verify-full. The default port is 3306; the default SSL mode is prefer.

DataPorch uses read-only transactions for MySQL queries. Discovery reads schemas, tables, columns, comments, and constraints exposed by the adapter. Use a least-privilege database user and validate the server-side permissions independently of DataPorch’s read-only behavior.
